As the Dean, Corporate Relations, Prof. Preeti Ranjan Panda heads the office of Corporate Relations and oversees the institute’s major industry partnerships. He received his B. Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Madras and his M. S. and Ph.D. degrees in Information and Computer Science from the University of California at Irvine. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Delhi. He has previously worked at Texas Instruments and Synopsys Inc. and has been a visiting scholar at Stanford University.
Prof. Panda leads the MARG research group with interests in embedded systems, computer architecture, emerging memory technologies, AI/ML hardware and systems, electronic design automation, and low power computing. He is the author of two books: Memory issues in Embedded Systems-on-chip: Optimizations and Exploration (Kluwer Academic Publishers) and Power-efficient System Design (Springer). He is a recipient of the IBM Faculty Award, the IESA Techno Mentor Award, IITD Teaching Excellence Award, and the DST Young Scientist Award. Research works authored by Prof. Panda and his students have received several honours, including Best Paper nominations at CODES+ISSS, DATE, ASPDAC, and VLSI Design Conference, and Most downloaded paper of ACM TODAES journal. Prof. Panda’s research has been supported by Intel, IBM, Freescale, Semiconductor Research Corporation, Cadence, and Samsung.
Prof. Panda currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Embedded Systems Letters. He has served on the editorial boards of several major journals including IEEE Transactions on CAD, ACM Transactions on Design Automation of Electronic Systems, and International Journal of Parallel Programming, as Technical Program Chair of CASES and CODES+ISSS, on the steering committee of ASPDAC conference, and on the ACM SIGDA executive committee.
