Dr Debashish Bhattacharjee completed B.E. in Metallurgical Engineering from Jadavpur University in 1986, M. Tech in Metallurgy from IIT Kanpur in 1989 and PhD in Materials Science & Metallurgy from University of Cambridge, UK in 1993.
He joined Tata Steel in the R&D function in 1996 and headed the function as Chief Research & Development and Scientific Services between 2002 and 2009. In 2009, he was seconded to Tata Steel Europe as Group Director Research, Development & Technology for Tata Steel Group. Dr Bhattacharjee is an expert in development of materials and associated technologies. He has more than 50 international peer reviewed journal publications and 20 patents.
Dr Bhattacharjee is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering and of the Indian Institute of Metals. He is Visiting Professor at the Imperial College London, at the University of Warwick, UK, and at the University of Science and Technology, Beijing, China.
Currently he is Vice President Technology & New Materials Business, Tata Steel based in Kolkata. Dr Bhattacharjee’s hobbies include playing cricket and acting in plays.

Srinivas Satya is president and managing director of Applied Materials India Pvt. and an appointed vice president for Applied Materials, Inc. Srinivas leads an organization of more than 3000 employees and has been with Applied for over 20 years, holding a variety of technical and customer-facing positions of increasing responsibility in various business units in semiconductor and energy business segments, as well as roles in Finance and Corporate Business Development, where he drove a number of successful acquisitions and external investments.
Srinivas is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds an MBA degree from the University of Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. He received his bachelor of technology degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, India, and his master of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Arvind Rao is the Director – Strategic collaboration for the engineering team in India for GE Aviation. He is responsible for forging strategic collaborations with Academia, governments and industries in areas of mutual interest for GE Aviation in India.
Arvind joined GE Aviation in 2003 and held leadership roles with increasing responsibilities since then. Arvind is an expert in combustion aero design and has personally worked and supervised teams in development of combustors for products like GEnx, LEAP and GE9X. Arvind also led teams in the area of engineering tools & methods development and in providing engineering support for fielded engines. He led several successful projects with premier universities and national labs in India for collaborative research & development.
Arvind received his bachelor’s degree from K. K. Wagh CoE, Nashik and his master’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
Arvind is married to Shilpa and they have a daughter, Aadhya. He is an avid nature lover and enjoys photographing birds and animals.

Ravi Ramaswamy heads the Health Systems team at the Philips Innovation Campus at Bangalore, India. He started his career with L&T in 1982, then moved on to GE in 2000 and then to Philips in 2010. His experience covers R&D, Operations, Finance, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Product Management and General Management. He has also worked in several domains like Computer peripherals, Consumer electronics, Defence electronics, Telecommunications, Medical electronics and IT environments.
Ravi has been a task force member of several Government committees at the Central and State level. He is a regular speaker in Indian / International Conferences on Healthcare. He evangelizes Healthcare in the print and Digital media. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers (India), Fellow, HITLAB USA and a Senior Member of IEEE.
